Woodlands BHN Substance Abuse Prevention Division uses evidence-based programming to deter the misuse and abuse of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD). Our Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist are certified by Michigan Certification Board of Addiction Professionals.

Prime For Life Programming

Prime for Life PRIME For Life® is an evidence-based motivational prevention, intervention and pretreatment program specifically designed for people who may be making high-risk choices.

Toward No Drug Abuse (TDNA)

TDNA aims to reduce or eliminate substance abuse in adolescents through intervention. TNDA is a 12-session program that provides detailed information about the social and health consequences of drug use and empowering the student with skills to use throughout their lifetime.

FREE Naloxone (Narcan)

Naloxone (NARCAN®) can save the life of a person or pet that has overdosed on an opioid.  Anyone can experience an opioid overdose regardless if the drug is being used as prescribed medication, due to a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or as a result of accidental poisoning.

Guiding Good Choices (GGC)

GGC is an evidence-based parenting program for parents of children in grades 4th through 8th. Parents learn specific strategies for reducing risks that predict adolescent health and behavior problems.

C.A.S.S. Community Coalition

C.A.S.S. Community Coalition C.A.S.S. provides a community collaborative approach to addressing the consequences of existing and immerging issues associated with the use, abuse, and addiction of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Consultation and Training

Woodlands BHN can provide consultation on a variety of substance abuse related subjects; policy, procedures, coalition development, and event planning. WBHN Prevention staff are experienced professional trainers, providing training, in-services, and presentations on a variety of substance abuse related subjects; individual drugs, dynamic of the chemically dependent families, athletic performance, parenting and life skills. Red Med Box Drug Disposal

IRed Med Box allows for safe disposal of unwanted, unused and/or expired prescription and over the counter (OTC) medications. Using Red Med Box collection sites help to protect our environment. It also helps to combat prescription drug abuse, addiction and accidental or Intentional overdose.
